Why can’t I stream twitch on my ps4?

Twitch may be the current undisputed master of game distribution, but that doesn’t always mean it’s a very good or stable platform. The error of the 0495ba16 Twitch TV activates in PS4 has been bothering Sony fans for months, and there is no indication that it will be resolved in a pocket anytime soon.

 

The error code has not yet been officially approved by Twitch at this time, with very little input even if you contact their support directly. Appearing and updated a few months back, this ruling error code caused major headaches to existing Twitch app users.

 

While it can sometimes be resolved by logging in and logging in, many players find that they can no longer successfully login to twitch at all. Uninstalling and re-installing the app it-self is not helpful.

 

There are two solutions we have found so far - one is simpler, and the other takes longer.

This first approach is not a true "fix" but rather works when it causes a problem on the PS4 but not other platforms - you can press the software and force a successful login by tapping the login option. Thumb up and continuously tap X to enter the spam login button for 60 - 120 seconds and you will normally log in without any issues.

 

Unfortunately, you will have to do this again every time the app closes.

Not focused on that hope? There is a complete overhaul so you don't have to go through that annoying process, but it is very deep and needs to unlink your Twitch account on your PS4.

To start this process, navigate to the PS4 home screen and go through this series of menus:

Settings

·         Sharing and Distribution

·         Link to Other Tasks

·         Connect your account with Twitch

·         Sign out

After logging in to twitch on your console, switch to a different device such as your PC or tablet (not the PS4 browser) and go to the Twitch website.

 

From there, click the avatar icon in the top right corner, then select Settings and navigate to the Connections tab. Go through the process of linking your Twitch and PS4 account and just as you did when you first installed the app.

 

In most cases, the problem now has to be resolved, even though the error code may recur in the future and need to be reconnected.
